Fun in the Sun

So as you can tell. As time goes by its becoming harder and harder to maintain updates relative to Nathan. Its so hard for me to believe that its almost been a year already since he’s come into our lives.

In a nutshell, we went down to Florida last week to hang out with Angie’s brothers and their respective families. We went to Disneyworld Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center one day, Sea World the next day. Did some shopping, did some laying around, went to the beach part of one day. It was great to see Nathan having fun exploring and seeing things that he’d never seen before. I sincerely hope he’s able to remember some of his experiences. If not maybe all the pictures we’ve taken will jog his memory (hint, go check them out!).

We drove down and back. Down was fine, back sucked….hard. In short, we had a broken transmission in Kentucky and had to wait until we could be picked up by Angie’s parents with a trailer and an extra van. We made it back to Madison a day later than originally planned. Nathan contracted a good cold/cough shortly before the trip and its continued through a fair chunk of this week. We’ve been keeping him medicated, but Angie took him into the doctor after we couldn’t bear listening to him cough any more. They gave him a prescription and he started that yesterday. Last night at the start I thought he was going to have a good night, went down a little early and slept hard (which hadn’t happened for some days), but from about 1am on until this morning when I left for work he was up off and on during the night coughing. His fever seems to have gone away so I think he’s definitely making progress. Last night he was giggling again, which we missed for a few days since it was replaced by seemingly constant whimpering.

Anyhow we’re slowly trying to get back to normal, in spite of his attitude lately he’s been doing pretty well in my opinion. Whether its intentional or not, I think he’s been trying to talk a little saying “da da” or “ma ma” the times this past week have been when he’s frustrated. But it doesn’t seem to relate to who he wants to be near or have hold him.

At any rate, enjoy the pictures….:-)
